Money
The official currency in Hungary is the Hungarian Forint (HUF or Ft). We have not yet entered the Euro zone, but the Euro currency is accepted in some places. For 1 Pound you will receive about ~310 HUF. A beer costs around 400 HUF in the corner pub.
Changing money on the streets is not recommended! Having your credit card at all times is useful, but do have some cash on you too as credit cards are not accepted everywhere.

Language
The Hungarian language is one of the most difficult languages to learn or even to understand. So good luck if you want to try to speak it! Our young generation speaks at least one or two foreign languages, as it is compulsory for them at school. So be brave and communicate with them if you lose your way in the city, as they will understand you. Therefore, communication will not be a problem.

Hungarian Cuisine
Hungary has always been able to maintain its traditional cuisine all through the centuries. When people think of Hungarian food, the first dish that comes into mind is the Goulash (mind you, it is an artistically prepared thick SOUP). Don't miss it!! Yet there are many other delicious traditional dishes that have to be experienced before leaving the country such as paprika chicken, halászlé (fish soup), excellent fresh-water fish (grilled pike-perch, trout with almond) and a homemade pörkölt (meat stew), Budapest steak.... Another famous food is goose liver, which can be enjoyed cold or hot, fried or grilled.

Weather
Hungary’s climate is continental. In other words: there is perfect outdoor party (MUST TRY CLUBS!) weather in Budapest between the months of March-October 20°C-35°C, November-February 10°C- minus 3°C.
This means that shorts and a t-shirts are enough in spring-summer-autumn, while the girls are wearing even less...
